Oneirophrenia-A Case Report

Abstract
|

|
A case embodying the clinical features of Meduna´s oneirophrenia is presented along with a review of the literature.
The patient was a 16 year old high shcool girl who had sudden onset of confusion, irrational talks and disturbing behaviors of various kinds. However, on no occation she showed delusion. Glucose tolerance test showed diabetic curve. Although phenothiazine had brought forth poor results, the response to EST was quite dramatic. With a
few EST she had almost completely recovered. Follow-up has revealed that she has been making good adjustment since her discharge.
